Marketing Intern

Kierra Maxwell Photography LLC is looking for an unpaid Marketing Intern--with the possibility of becoming a paid and permanent position after 3 months. Established in 2012 by Kierra Maxwell, Kierra Maxwell Photography LLC is a growing and bustling business in the  South Jersey & Philadelphia area.  Specializing in an array of photography types, we can bring any client vision to life. Expanding at a rapid rate, we are looking to add a new face to our ever growing team.

Marketing Intern Job Responsibilities:

  • Create marketing campaign planning and execute 

  • Assist in the creation of  social media posts, promotional emails, and other marketing collateral

  • Assist in the creation of written, video, and image content for marketing channels

  • Controls and monitors social media platforms

  • Measure and report the results of marketing initiatives

  • Reply and direct all inquiries through social media to our Head Photographer

As our marketing intern you will be responsible for all social media platforms--it would be your job to make sure that all content has been created, vetted, and posted to our head photographer standards. We would also require that you create a marketing campaign that will include SEO to help broaden the outreach of the business. You will work closely with the Head Photographer as well as the administrative assistant. This position is unpaid for the first 3 months but can become a permanent paid job. This position will be mainly a remote position with some days working at our studio.

Marketing Intern Qualifications / Skills:

  • Applied understanding of basic marketing principles

  • Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)

  • Creative problem-solving skills

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently

  • Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Understanding of SEO techniques and best practices

  • Basic photography, image and video editing, and graphic design skills

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field

  • Successful completion of introductory courses in marketing, business, or equivalent

  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)

  • Previous experience with the use of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social) a plus

  • Google ad words and google analytics certification a plus
